Q. What is the B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector?

A. The B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector is a mobile, cellular-connected 4G LTE hotspot that enables you to connect an IP camera, like a Camscura WiFi Hidden Camera on-the-go without them needing access to a local network or relying on IT. It can be used for mobile monitoring or monitoring an area without its own internet access, like a vacation home, hotel or cabin. This MiFi device operates using the AT&T cellular network.

Q. I changed my WiFi network name and password. Now my camera is not working.

A. Since you modified your B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector device information, your camera network will also need to be changed or "re-learned."

1. If you're using the Camscura WiFi you will need to use a pin or paperclip to access the AP button located on the bottom of the device. Gently press the Mode button to default the device back to local viewing; enter your mobile device's WiFi settings and select the camera's network name. Next, enter the mobile app and select the Cogwheel. Enter WiFi settings and then enter your B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector username and password. The camera will reboot to give 3-5 minutes for your camera to go online.

2. If you are using an SG Home WiFi camera it's important that you DO NOT power the camera off when resetting; if the camera is powered off and reset, the device ID number will be entirely erased and the camera will no longer be accessible and will need to be returned.

Q. The WiFi network name does not appear in the list of networks.

A. The first step is to refresh the list of networks on your mobile device. If the WiFi network still doesn't appear, ensure that the WiFi setting on your mobile device is turned on. If the network still doesn't show up, ensure that WiFi is enabled on the B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector. The WiFi icon on the LCD should be blue (not gray). If you wake up the screen and the icon remains gray, make sure Airplane Mode is turned off. To check, from the home screen, tap Settings > Airplane Mode, and then tap the On/Off switch to change it to Off.

Q. The WiFi icon on the B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector home screen is gray.

A. If the WiFi icon on the mobile hot spot’s home screen remains gray, that indicates that the radio is disabled after you wake up the device. The device is likely in Airplane Mode, indicated by the airplane icon in the top left corner of the screen). To disable, from the home screen, tap Settings > Airplane Mode and then tap the On/Off switch to change it to Off.

Q. How do I select a different network when I’m roaming?

A. To connect to a different network when you are roaming, first, turn on International Roaming from the touchscreen or from the B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector homepage. From that homepage, scan for available networks and select the network that you want to connect to. Note: Enabling roaming may cause you to incur additional data overage fees.

Q. How do I find out how many devices (users) are connected to my mobile hotspot network?

A. You can view a list of devices connected to your mobile hotspot on the device itself or the B-Link Secure Cellular WiFi Camera Connector homepage. On the touchscreen, from the home screen, tap Wi-Fi > Devices. A list of devices connected to the Main Wi-Fi and Secondary Wi-Fi networks will appear. To view the IP and MAC addresses of one of the devices, tap the device name.

Q. The LCD screen is not lit. How do I know if the mobile hotspot is still powered on?

A. The LCD screen dims to save energy. The LED continues to flash slowly to indicate that the mobile hotspot is still powered on. To wake up the LCD, press and quickly release the power button.

Q. Where can I find more information?

A. For more information about using your new device, visit the interactive web tutorial available at att.com/devicehowto, then select the brand (AT&T) and model (Unite Pro). Additional support is available online including device specifications, troubleshooting and user forums at att.com/DeviceSupport.
