No, this voice recorder uses 2 Alkaline AAA batteries. You can get these anywhere that sells batteries but may want to lean towards the type made for electronic devices for a longer battery life.
What is the battery life for this device?
You can get up to 20 hours of battery life on one set of batteries, depending on the battery quality.
Please note, setting it to VOS (Voice Operated System - or voice activated) mode will not lengthen the battery life as the device will remain powered on and will consume battery even while in a standby state.

What size of memory card can this support?
You can use up to a 16GB card, class 4. Do not use anything higher or the device will not be able to record to it properly and will malfunction.
My battery keeps dying quickly after putting fresh lithium batteries in. Why?
This device can use alkaline batteries ONLY. Using lithium batteries can damage the device and shorten battery life.
